I don’t think I even need to explain why I love this picture so much.  But I will: the gummy smile, the wispy soft hair, and most importantly, the love and joy just radiating from the two subjects.  ‘Nuff said.

This is another photograph that highlights the use of natural lighting indoors.  I use a flash when necessary, but if at all possible, I prefer to use plain ol’ sunshine.  We were sitting in a room with darkly painted walls that served as an appropriate background for this particular subject, an old friend of mine.  [...]
